Fully Biodegradable Mulch Film

Fully biodegradable mulch film is a new type of eco-friendly agricultural film made from fully biodegradable materials such as PBAT and PLA. Under natural or soil conditions, it is completely broken down by microorganisms into carbon dioxide, water, and organic matter, leaving no plastic residue and causing no white pollution — making it safe for soil and the environment.

Its performance is comparable to traditional PE mulch film. It offers good tensile strength, excellent heat retention and moisture retention, effectively suppresses weed growth, increases soil temperature, and maintains soil moisture — helping to improve crop yield. After harvest, the film can be plowed directly into the soil without manual removal, saving labor and time.

Widely used in farmland mulching and cash crop cultivation , it is an ideal eco-friendly alternative to solve the "white pollution" problem caused by traditional plastic mulch film.

Our Advantages

Fully degradable, zero residue

Fully degradable, zero residue

Made from PLA/PBAT, completely degrades into CO₂, water, and organic matter. No plastic pollution.
Heat & moisture retention

Heat & moisture retention

Effectively increases soil temperature and locks in moisture, promoting crop growth.
No retrieval needed

No retrieval needed

Can be plowed directly into soil after harvest, saving labor and time.
Higher yield & eco-friendly

Higher yield & eco-friendly

Reduces white pollution while improving crop yield. Sustainable and green.

Primary Functions

Soil Cover & Moisture/Temperature Retention – Covers the soil surface to effectively reduce water evaporation and increase soil temperature, creating an optimal micro-environment for crop growth — accelerating seed germination and seedling development.

Weed Suppression – Physically blocks sunlight to inhibit weed germination and growth under the film, reducing herbicide use and manual weeding costs.

Fully Biodegradable – After harvest, the film naturally degrades through soil microorganisms with no need for manual retrieval. Degradation byproducts are environmentally harmless and do not damage soil structure.

Soil Improvement – Some biodegradable films convert into organic matter upon decomposition, increasing soil organic content, improving soil aeration, and promoting root development.

Usage Notes

Storage Environment – Store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated place away from direct sunlight, high temperatures, and high humidity to prevent premature degradation or aging.

Shelf Life – Recommended for use within 6–12 months from production date. Prolonged storage may affect mechanical properties and degradation timeline.

Application – Ensure the film is laid flat and in close contact with the soil surface. Press the edges firmly with soil to prevent wind from lifting the film.

Crop Suitability – Select the appropriate degradation timeframe based on the crop's growth cycle to ensure the film remains intact throughout the functional period.
